Join the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and regional partners on August 3–4, 2026, for two days of hands-on learning, collaboration, and discussion focused on: Rebuilding Legacy Neighborhoods.
The symposium will bring together housing and community development professionals, local governments, nonprofit organizations, lenders, and community stakeholders to explore practical strategies for preserving affordability, revitalizing neighborhoods, financing development, and strengthening local capacity.
This event series takes participants through the full affordable housing development journey – from blueprints to buildings – highlighting key stages of the development cycle and the opportunities, resources, and partnerships available along the way. More than a standalone two-day event, the series is designed as an interconnected learning experience, with each symposium building on the last. Day one of every symposium explores the development lifecycle, while day two features evolving themes and topics that deepen participants’ understanding and engagement. Attendees are encouraged to participate in multiple symposiums to gain the full benefit of the series.
